§ 19.6.6 - Masking Blend Modes

§ 19.6.6.1 - Mask

This mode overrides the transparency of the lower layer composite with the transparency of the higher layer, where the transparency of the higher layer is multipled by the layer factor of zero to 1.0.

The display of the layer view presents only mask information as a cue that the layer is in this layer mode. All of the red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, yellow, black, mask and inverted mask modes do this.
