§ 19.6.5.2 - Luma

This mode places the luminance of the content of the higher layer over the lower layers.

Luma differs from Average in that it uses luma instead of average.

Where the higher layer is partially transparent, the result is mixed with the lower layer composite in a manner proportional to the amount of transparency.
