§ 19.6.7.5 - Saturation
The saturation content of the upper layer replaces the saturation content of the lower layer composite. This is the "S" in HSV.
Where the higher layer is partially transparent, the result is mixed with the lower layer composite in a manner proportional to the amount of transparency.
Tip: If you're looking to apply an actual saturation value to the layer composite, you want the
S layer mode.
