§ 19.6.7.7 - H

The average of the RGB content of the upper layer is taken as a hue indication from 0-360.0 degrees. This hue compoent replaces the hue content of the lower layer composite. This is the "H" in HSV.

Where the higher layer is partially transparent, the result is mixed with the lower layer composite in a manner proportional to the amount of transparency.

Tip: If you're looking to apply the hue from one image to another, you want the Hue layer mode.
