§ 12.11.37 - Gain

Scripting command: gain [Black=0...200] [Gain=0...200] [White=0...200]

Note: All available scripting operations are listed on the Script operator page.

Applies gain to the selected region. This operator is particularly useful in adjusting RAW DSLR images.

For properly exposed images, Black should be set to zero, and White to 200.

If an image is missing content at the left end of the histogram (overexposed), you can use Black to bring the darkest image material to the left end.

If an image is missing content at the right end of the histogram (underexposed), you can use White to bring the brightest material to the right end.

If an image is missing content at both ends of the histogram, you can use both Black and White to correct that.
