§ 16.90.5.28 - metal (SceneScript element)

 <metal

This works in conjunction with the  <specular language element. If the object is set to be metal, then the light color is filtered by the surface color of the object. If the object is not set as metal (generally meaning, it's a non-conductive surface) then the specular highlights will tend to the color of the light without filtering by the surface color.
