Roe vs. Wade Reversed

On June 24th, 2022, SCOTUS reversed Roe vs. Wade, setting women's healthcare back 50 years. The most direct effect of this ruling has been that the power to restrict healthcare access was made available to the states. Some states responded almost immediately by using that power to the great disadvantage of its residents.

In states where abortion bans have been implemented, deaths increased for both mothers and their babies, many of the latter due to unsurvivable congenital defects. The increases in suffering, preventable deaths, and economic damages have been both measurable and significant.
